I wish there was a zero star rating. They only carry ScubaPro equipment, they charge full retail for every item in the store, and are extremely rude over the phone. I signed up for a dive class and had to back out. They won’t refund my $500.00 for the class. There was no sign stating that there were no refunds anywhere in the store, and when attempting to get my money back for a class I never took, I was told there was no refunds. It would be one thing to back out in the middle of a class, but I felt I was doing them a favor by letting them know one month in advance in which they confirmed that my spot had been filled but I wouldn’t be getting my money back. I will gladly take my business to any other local dive shop where they run an honest diving operation. I will never do business with Channel Islands Scuba again. This is stealing. There is no other way to describe my experience. There are way better dive shops in the area. Do NOT get your training from Channel Islands Scuba.

I got my open water certification this past weekend! I've always wanted to dive and someone recommended this shop to me and I'm so glad they did! Tim Coates is a great instructor and the course was thorough and fun! Jay joined for the boat portion and they make a great team. Ashley was also super helpful and patient both during class and selecting gear in the shop. I'll definitely be returning for more classes towards the advanced certification.
